May 2013 - Skylaunch in the Pyrenees
A new Skylaunch 2 Evo twin drum winch (7.4 litre EFI engine fuelled by Petrol) is delivered to Luchon Gliding club in the beautiful French Pyrenees. This winch is using Skyrope cable on their 800m airfield.

April 2013 - RAF GSA Upgrades
Another one of the fleet of RAF GSA (Royal Air Force Gliding and Soaring Association) original Skylaunch winches from RAF Wittering (Four Counties GC) has a paint re-spray and upgrades to the later specifications (automatic tow-out brakes, new cable pulley / roller units and a full service). All major components (engine / transmission / final drive etc) are still in very good working order and only require oils and filters to be changed. This winch is now using Dyneema cable |

March 2013 - Belgian winch refurbishment completed
The refurbishment of the Mel / Van Gelder winch is completed and returned to the Belgian Air Cadets much to their delight. They were especially impressed with the speed of the works, which included two days of successful test launches / handover. |

November 2012 - Skylaunch invited to Norwegian Annual Gliding Convention
Skylaunch are invited to the Annual Gliding Convention in beautiful Norway to give a formal presentation on Glider Winch Launching. Two gliding clubs are also visited for fact finding and advising. |

This winch is using Dyneema cable – 3500 metres on each drum! (So far with 3000 metres used, launch heights are exceeding 1200 metres). |
